Maroon 5 was born in Los Angeles, California, with their catchy hooks, soaring vocals, and their signature sound. They have solidified their position as a pop music's most enduring artist. They have gotten three Grammy Awards as "Best New Artist" of 2005. They have sold more than 17 million albums worldwide. There's 5 boys in this band, Adam Levine- the lead vocalist, James Valentine- Guitar, Jesse Carmichael- keyboard, Micky Madden- Bass, and Ryan Dusick- Drums.
They have the same people as before. The five of them love being in the band and don't want to leave. Their first song was "Harder to Love". They released their album "Songs abut Jane" in 2002. The songs were based off of Adam's ex-girlfriend Jane. They formed when they were still in high school in 1994. Their drummer Ryan Dusick left the band and was later replaced by Matt Flynn. Adam had an acting part in a episode in 2012 in "American Horror Story". In 2014 Adam Levine got married to Behati Prinsloo. Maroon 5 released their debut album "Songs About Jane" in 2002. This album was based from Adam's ex-girlfriend Jane.
In 2013 the band co-headline the 12th Annual Honda Civics Tour in North America with Kelly Clarkson. The "Overexposed Tour " took place between August 2012 and January 2014, with the band performing over 68 worldwide dates. In March 2012 Jesse Carmichael announced him breaking from the band. But he returned in 2014 two years later in April. The bands front-man Adam Levine has been a couch on the show "The Voice" since 2011.
Over 3 million fans has seen this band live and many more to come. With the music they produce they have a long time before they will be a unknown band. Maroon 5 has been nominated for 11 Grammy Awards. They have picked up three Grammy's to this day. The band has also won the Billboard Music Awards. Maroon 5 has also received recognition in the UK with being nominated for the BRIT Awards.
